[caption id="attachment_87" align="alignnone" width="300"]DSCF1373 (8-bit PIC16F84A 1 Board Micro Computer CPU Board image illustration (Illustration AFP - Toshiki Shirose))[/caption]

CPU : PIC16F84A, 18 pin

Crystal : 20 MHz, 4 pin

Switch : with LED (3 Volts light up type), 2 pin

Battery : 1.5 Volts x 2, AA or AAA (It is selected by you)

Battery holder : 2 pin

Direct Bus Interface Socket : Pitch 2.54 mm, 28 pin (14 pin x 2) x 1, (Notched type)

2.54 mm x 40 pin = 101.6 mm, nearly equal 10 cm, then,

Assembly board : 10 cm x 15 cm

CPU socket : 18 pin x 1, 4 pin x 1 (For wire wrapping type socket, long leg type socket)

Assembly board legs (Spacer) : 4 cm length x 4 (For CPU Board not to electric short on your desk)

Wire wrapping cable

Wire wrapping tool

Drivers

Wire wrapping cable stripper

This is 8-bit PIC16F84A 1 Board Micro Computer CPU Board.

The simplest way.

Operating voltage is 3 Volts.

CPU clock is 20 MHz (5 MIPS).

Switch is here, GND - Switch - 3 Volts.

Please don't mistake connection plus and minus from battery.

This CPU board can make no soldering.

Wire wrapping cable vinyl can strip by wire wrapping cable stripper, in normal way, we strip 2 cm cable vinyl.

Wire wrapping cable cutter is with wrapping cable stripper.

We selected PIC16F84A CPU for our conveniences.

There are many PIC16F84A circuits patterns and programmed source codes in Internet and hardware magazines.

First of all, with the easiest way, with the simplest way, we want to make hardware.

To make this 8-bit PIC16F84A 1 Board Micro Computer CPU Board is an easy, connect CPU and Bus Interface Socket (We wrote this draft before), connect CPU and Crystal, connect Battery to CPU and Crystal and Bus Interface Socket and Switch.

PIC Writer can make another assembly board and connect bus between this CPU board and PIC Writer circuit board.

Let's play with us with this CPU board.

We are in the first step of long long road of Computer Science.

This is the package and floppy disks of the famous computer game of Wizardly.

This package is Wizardly V, Heart of The Maelstrom, for Apple 2 series.

Original Wizardly was for 8-bit Apple 2 series.

Original packages of Wizardly I, Wizardly II, Wizardly III, Wizardly V,  for Apple 2 series, are in Glory Music.

Wizardly IV was Return of Werdna, the highest monster Werdna return back and return to the ground from 10th floor with fight against good human party, that was Wizardly IV Return of Werdna.

Game player must be this Werdna, evil.

Then we dislike Wizardly IV, we do not have Wizardly IV for Apple 2 series.

Wizardly IV sales was not a good in the world.

Wizardly series ported many personal computers and many consumer game consoles.

NEC PC-8801 (8-bit), NEC PC-9801 (16-bit), Nintendo, etc, .

Original Wizardly was 1D disk, System, and game player had to make Duplicate Disk to another blank disk.

Nintendo was with 8-bit 6502 CPU, CPU clock for Nintendo is unknown but it may be 2 MHz or 4 MHz.

Original Wizardly series for Apple 2 series was not with music, Wizardly series for Nintendo was with music.

Home work : Check GS/GM Sound Chip datasheet and GS/GM Sound Chip music. Check Standard MIDI data on QuickTime in MacOSX, that is GS/GM Sound Chip music. We could use Roland SC-55mkII with 10 MHz 16-bit NEC PC-9801, Operating System was MS-DOS or N88BASIC.

This is a computer magazine 'inCider / A+'.

'inCider / A+' magazine was a magazine about Apple 2 series.

This 'inCider / A+' published at September 1991.

This 'inCider / A+' is 72 pages + cover pages, almost full color pages, this was 1580 yen (nearly equal $10) in Tokyo, Japan.

We list up the prices from an advertisement in this magazine, these prices are at September 1991.

Apple //e System from $349.99

Apple //GS 1.25 Meg $599.99

Mac SE 2.5 M Memory / 20 M Hard disk $1049.99

Mac II System from $2099.99

Around this year, the first DTP edited and designed book published in Japan.

Kanji, Kana, Japanese characters DTP edited and designed book.

Before DTP, we used layout sheet for page design.

1st print for re-write, 2nd print for re-write, blue print, color print, magazine.

Text editing was by word processor on MS-DOS by the editor, floppy disk and layout sheet by the editor to printing company.

Figure was to the trace room, the tracer made figure in the trace sheet, the trace sheet to printing company.

Photograph was by the editor, the editor took the photograph, the photograph to printing company.

Illustration was by the illustrator, the illustrator wrote the illustration, the illustration to printing company.

Screen tone to printing company.

These combined at 2nd print for re-write or blue print or color print.

Magazine will be there.

Home work : Check I2C Bus and SMBus/PMBus and many standard computer system bus.
